Freedom to love and have peace no matter what comes from the gracious supply of God for all we need. This is how He reigns in our hearts. When darkness is governing my life, I am living in a prison of fear that deprives me of every good thing that my heart has been created to desire.

Rest, and He will come out of the shadow your ambition has created. You're made to be content when you know God is with you. You weren't created to be better than other people but to love them. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” is about being content wherever you are.

Peter said to determine to let your faith produce what it's intended to produce. By faith, men can't take away your joy when it comes from God. War can't take away your peace when it’s created by heaven. Therefore, being called into God’s glory by amazing promises, live His life and you’ll never fall.

This is the word of His patience whereby you can’t be stopped. Patience is the power of God in the hand of the man of God. It’s the key that gives entrance into His presence and provides the continuing force of faith. Rewards of faith won't appear until believing has produced a measure of fire-tested patience.

Impatience marks the heart of the conquered. Patience is the product of faith that creates peace within. It says, "The world is falling apart with injustice gone crazy at my doorstep, but it won’t conquer my soul. I will believe in the gospel more than in civil government until it shows in my love and patience.”

Liberty’s greatest quality is loving our enemies without which we’ve already lost our freedom. We will be successfully overcome by the false liberty that socialism promises, for freedom is determined by who rules and supplies us. Until we learn that heaven rules in the affairs of men, we will be captives.

The measure of a man’s life is not what he has gained but what he’s given up for Christ. Don’t worry about being worthy of this world's values only to be its slave. In Christ, the world is not worthy of you. Nothing’s wrong with your faith when the world is closing you in. Your losses are a path to God’s power.

Faith doesn’t just believe in God; it stops believing in darkness more than in God. It ceases to believe in anything else as our source of well-being.  If I am living in fear, I am living with another as my master. I may seek to calm the storm. But total victory calms my soul through faith as the storm rages.

We’re not created to struggle with our egos, feeling like a failure all our lives! If we live afraid, we’ve given up the call to let God be our Lord and master. May we say, “I will not change my heart of love, no matter how dark the world, nor succumb to fear no matter what powers try to manipulate my soul.”
