Faith is intended to give us the wisdom and power to walk through life's hardest times, not just to get rid of those times. Hard times are the canvas upon which God paints a life purpose of victory.God's purpose for life's trials can bring us into our finest hour. But we need to learn to let Him make us before He will send us. The trial is never about the trial. By faith we learn to find something worth dying for, and then we will have found something worth living for.

In the emergency room 3 weeks ago I wrote this message. It is a living parable of what both my own life and this country is going through. I have learned over the last year how to see what is happening in America from heaven's point of view, and it looks a lot like the opening chapter of the book of Revelation. We're fighting the wrong battle and the wrong enemy if we're trying to stop a political party, a conspiracy theory, or our own fears. God is up to something much greater!

Our liberty requires the responsibility to have faith in God, not men. We’re living in a day where our constitutional right to due process is thrown to the wind. People make accusations and spread false information on social media constantly, and it destroys the credibility of anyone trying to post the truth. If we declare our truth with indignation between the lines, then our message will be buried by our attitude.

One reason for suicide is that people don’t get up in the morning with a sense of personal purpose. Discovery of our identity in Christ can cause us to be led by purpose and joy from deep within. That's a big part of being led by the Spirit, and it gives us power over sin and the struggle with despair.

He would see the KGB parked in front of his building. One time, Anatoli walked down to them and told them, “If you harm my daughter, or wife, or something happens to me, I have written my friends in the west what has happened, and they will release it to the American government.” He actually intimidated the KGB, and they backed off, and he lived. Faith that has no fear is a great and necessary privilege for the days ahead.
